Looking for something to do this Christmas season in Texas that involves winter-related activities and sights, glowing photo-ops, and even SNOW? (Okay, probably not the real stuff but you get the point).
Look no further than Enchant Christmas in Arlington! After going to Trail of Lights in Austin a couple of years in a row, we were ready to branch out to something a little farther and different! Here are some of the main activities and photo opportunities you can experience in Enchant!
The Skating Rink
Right when you walk in, you can’t miss the large skating rink in the middle of the park. Skate rentals are just $5 per person, and you have plenty of room to skate around! There are plenty of benches around for viewing the rink when you want to take a rest, and there is a beautifully lit bridge above the rink for viewing the entire park (beautiful picture opportunity!).
Starting out in the maze, you get a card to find Santa’s 9 reindeer as you go! While it is a super fun activity for kids to hunt for the reindeer and get to scratch each one off, I think teens through adults will find that the best part of the maze really is the picture opportunities! (Although, who doesn’t like racing to find all 9 reindeer first like my family did!)
The maze transports you into a winter wonderland greeted with a flurry of snow blowing across the main entrance, through rows of bright, ice-light forests, and ends with you experiencing magical moments in the twinkling, mirrored hall of golden icicle lights that is sure to bring out anyone’s love of holiday magic again!

Every Texan can probably agree that good is one of the most appealing parts of any good entertainment, and Enchant had a wonderful selection to offer! The food vendors vary based on the day and week, but you can be sure to find food and sweets from a variety of cultures that are well worth the amount you pay!

After traveling to Maine one year and getting to experience what it was like to have fresh lobster right from the bay for as cheap as chicken every day, we had to choose the lobster food truck called Cousin’s Maine Lobster located right in Dallas! It was featured on Shark Tank and is definitely worth the fame!
I had the Connecticut lobster roll (lobster roll with butter and lemon). BEST lobster roll I had; solely based on the amount of lobster that you get for your money! *see below*
Other featured items include the popular lobster bisque, lobster tacos, lobster quesadillas, and even lobster grilled cheese!

Christkindl (Christ child) markets originated in Germany, and were a celebration during the 4 weeks of advent in anticipation of the ultimate celebration of the birth of Christ. They are still celebrated in America as a way of bringing different cultures together through food and gifts to celebrate Christmas time.
At Enchant, there was an impressive market filled with delicious chocolate and candy vendors, German bakery goods, and various other sweets. There were also a wide array of other countries represented through hand crafted gift ideas that made for unique ideas for friends and family.
List of vendors
Overall, Enchant is fun for the whole family, or even for a Christmas outing for a couple. It was well worth the drive! If you plan to come, make sure you get your tickets a couple of weeks in advance to ensure that you get the date you want, as well as the time you want (there is usually a 5-11PM and an 8-11PM ticket).
Have an enchanting Christmas!
